    The Quest for Peace

In an age absent peace in so many areas – many communities and countries are simply striving to keep the peace. This may actually be part of the problem. Simply learning to tolerate those who look, live or believe differently may seem to be progress toward peace – but it can foster, or allow to fester, deep division and distrust. The quest for true, lasting peace requires a different approach. In this General Conference Special Boyd Matheson looks at why the difference between peacekeeping and peacemaking is the difference in creating lasting peace in relationships, organizations, communities and countries. Produced by Bella Pinnock.

First Freedoms: The interconnectedness of First Amendment Rights

Defending the rights of religion and belief, freedom of speech and of the press, freedom to assemble, and the freedom to petition the government is the responsibility of every citizen. The interdependent nature of these freedoms not only requires every citizen to defend them generally and to defend them for those we agree with but, more importantly, to defend these rights for those with whom we disagree. Indeed, if all Americans, believers and non-believers, do not put the first freedoms first, we will not have a sustainable republic that will last. Through numerous interviews, we will paint the picture of why these first freedoms are first. Hosted by: Boyd Matheson. Produced by: Bella Pinnock

The Sad History of Tragedy Spring: The Mormon Battalion historic site, high in the Sierras is in sad shape after windstorms and wildfires
